In Crane Fever, the player controls a crane arm in order to obtain [[Kirby]] plushies (They give Kirby [[1up|extra lives]]. If he catches a small plushy, he will get 1 extra life. If he gets a big one, he will get two extra lives.). The player must press A to activate the arm, then he must press A at the right time to pick up a plushy. If the arm picks them up at a short distance, it should be sure to drop the plushy into the hole. But if it picks them up at a longer distance, there is a chance it will accidentally let go of the plushy (This chance will increase if the player catches a small one, since the arm has a smaller grip on those.). This process will be done twice.

Crane Fever is a Mini-game in Kirby's Adventure. It does not return in the remake as all instances of it were replaced by Bomb Rally.

Game

In Crane Fever, the player controls a crane arm and tries to collect Kirby plushies in exchange for extra lives. The player must press A to activate the arm, then he/she must press A again at the right time to pick up a plushy and move it to the hole to collect it. The more accurate the timing the better the chance the plushy will make it all the way to the hole; however if the timing wasn't very accurate then there's a chance that the crane will drop it. On harder difficulties the crane will move much faster but the payout is the same.

Small plushies are only worth 1 extra life but are easier to time.

Big ones are worth two extra lives but harder to time.

The game will end after two tries whether or not the player managed to collect anything or not. So a perfect score is worth 4 extra lives.

Trivia

  • The music that playes during this mini-game is a arcade sounding remix of the Vegetable Valley Stage theme while the machine is idle and a fast remix of the Butter Building theme when the crane starts to move.
