A chip is an item in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby Battle Royale.

Physical Appearance[]

A chip is a small white disc with lavender and purple shapes around its edge. Most chips are marked with a "1" while some larger ones are marked with a "5."

Games[]

Kirby Battle Royale[]

Chips appear exclusively in the Attack Riders game mode. Each participant is given 100 of them at the start of the match, which are pooled in Team Battles. The game's objective is to hold as many of them as possible when time is up. Attacking an opponent knocks chips out of him, which automatically fly into the attacker—the stronger the attack, the more chips are stolen. They serve a very similar role to the coins in the Coin Battle modes of the Super Smash Bros. series. Blaze Wheelies and Electro Shock Tanks have high attack power, making them advantageous for the game.

Competitors lose a great number of chips when KO'd, with four to five of them landing on the ground as physical objects. These are collected upon contact. Participants with especially high chip counts often drop chips worth five points when KO'd. This adds risk and reward to the game. Chips that hit the ground can disappear if they are not promptly collected; these are then removed from the match as no player can obtain them.
