Cerulean is an enemy that appears only in Kirby's Return to Dream Land and Kirby's Dream Collection: Special Edition. It is a blue-green seed-shaped enemy with similarly shaped eyes and fins that comes in multiple sizes, usually in the Extra Mode. Like Pteran from previous games, the Cerulean flies forward at a slight angle, turning around whenever it hits a wall. On rare occasions, Cerulean will loosely try to follow Kirby. It grants no ability when swallowed.
Cerulean appears in the New Challenge Stages in Kirby's Dream Collection: Special Edition as well. It appears in the Fighter Combat Chamber, along with Magolor Race 1 and EX.
Etymology
Cerulean's name comes from the color cerulean, a shade of blueish-green, which is the color of the enemy.
