One step inside this spooky castle and you'll know something weird is going on! You'll have to be careful here because some of the nasties that float around here can't be beat by just inhaling them. The not so famous twins Lololo and Lalala rule this castle of gloom.
— Instruction manual description • Kirby's Dream Land

Castle Lololo is the second stage of Kirby's Dream Land and the residence of Lololo & Lalala. It is visited after Green Greens and before Float Islands.

Intro

Kirby is standing near the castle's moat when he suddenly sneezes, causing some nearby stars to fall out of the sky and land in the water. He sneezes again, but this time a star clonks him on the head and he loses his balance, falling into the moat.

This intro was moved to Bubbly Clouds in Spring Breeze from Kirby Super Star/Kirby Super Star Ultra, as this level was taken out.

General Information

Castle Lololo is a haunted stronghold filled with spooky enemies such as Two Face, Booler, Flapper, Mumbies, Broom Hatter and Hurly. It is surrounded on all sides by the tropical waters of Float Islands. It features a lot of big rooms with different paths and has a maze-like room with multiple doors leading to other locations in the same room. Halfway through the level, Kirby grabs a Warp Star and crashes through the wall to another area of the castle where Lololo is faced by himself. After that battle Kirby continues through a few more rooms before Lololo & Lalala are fought together.

In Spring Breeze the level is removed, but Lololo and Lalala are still fought as they replace Kaboola as the boss of Float Islands. It is likely that Castle Lololo appears briefly though, as Kirby flies to a small island with a castle after defeating Mr. Frosty in Float Islands. The facts that the player battles Lololo and Lalala in this area and the fact that the castle is surrounded by water makes it more likely to be true. The level's intro is also remembered by replacing the original intro of the following level, Bubbly Clouds.

Castle Lololo is the second stage of Kirby's Dream Land, but is not included in its Spring Breeze in Kirby Super Star and Kirby Super Star Ultra - although this theme debuted with Castle Lololo, throughout the years, it has become associated with many other aspects in the series. It is arranged for the Dyna Blade event and the VS. King Dedede Stadium event in Kirby Air Ride. A remix of the music also plays in the stage Mag Mount in Kirby: Canvas Curse. The music is once again remixed as the theme of Dyna Blade, Wham Bam Rock and Wham Bam Jewel in Kirby Super Star Ultra. A medley featuring remixes of the music in Castle Lololo and Cloudy Park from Kirby's Dream Land 2 plays in "Kirby's History" in Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition. A remix of the music also plays during the fight against Landia EX and the first phase of the fight against King D-Mind in Team Kirby Clash Deluxe. A remix of the music also plays in Level 3 in Kirby's Blowout Blast. In the same game, another remix of the music plays during the fight against Giant Masked Dedede. The music was once again remixed as the stage results music in Kirby Star Allies. The version in Team Kirby Clash Deluxe is remixed again and plays during the first phase of the fight against King D-Mind’s Revenge in Super Kirby Clash. The theme of Giant Masked Dedede from Kirby's Blowout Blast is remixed in the same game, where it plays during the fight against King D-Mind on the Tougher and Toughest Quests. A remix of the music is featured in Kirby Fighters 2 as a secret song that can be unlocked after reaching Fighters Rank 96.

A couple of vaguely familiar characters rule the chambers of this castle. As you might expect, castles have many doors. Castle Lololo is no exception. By pressing Up on the Control Pad while he is standing in front of an archway, Kirby will enter the door and find himself in a new room or area. Make sure that Kirby jumps off the ledge and grabs the Warp Star, which appears just past the long hallway containing Boolers and Mumbies. The Warp Star will take Kirby to the halfway point of the castle. Here, meet and challenge the pushy Lololo.
