Candlemanders are semi-common enemies appearing in the game Kirby's Epic Yarn and its remake, Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn. They first appear in Mole Hole, and later in other levels such as Cool Cave and Dino Jungle.
Physical Appearance
Candlemanders are red lizards with a yellow-orange flame on their middle back. They have blue button eyes, four short, red legs, and one red tail.

Candlemanders typically climb around walls aimlessly. When they see Kirby, though, a Candlemander's only form of attack is transforming into a fireball and rapidly chasing Kirby. After chasing Kirby or Prince Fluff for a few seconds, the Candlemander will revert to normal form, repeating the cycle. While a fireball, Candlemanders are invincible to Kirby and Prince Fluff's Digger form; however, they can still be defeated with the Yarn Whip.
Etymology
Candlemander is a portmanteau of candle and salamander, as Candlemander's appearance and abilities reference the ancient fire mythology[1] associated with salamanders.
