“ | Yellow means CAUTION. Watch out for that stinger!” |
— Cast Description • Kirby's Epic Yarn |
Buttonbee is an enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby's Epic Yarn.
Physical Appearance
Buttonbee is a small, yellow button with transparent wings, small black antennae, and two black lines on its backside. It also has a stinger, which looks like a Soocher's spike.
Games
Kirby's Epic Yarn and Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn
Buttonbee first appears in Grass Land's Flower Fields stage and later in multiple stages, usually ones that involve the Spin Boarder Metamortex transformation. It usually appears alongside Buttonfly. In Flower Fields, beehives infinitely spawn Buttonbees. This enemy is much less aggressive than Buttonbug, a red variety that inhabits Water Land's Secret Island stage.
Buttonbee attacks Kirby and Prince Fluff by extending its stinger and rushing straight forward. It does this after spotting the heroes. When wrapped up and thrown, it turns into three separate yarn balls that home in on enemies.
Buttonbees are also summoned by Yin-Yarn, alongside Bow Waddle Dees.
In Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn, a Mat of a Buttonbee can be earned by getting a C Rank on Stage 1 of Slash & Bead.
