Bulby is an enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby's Return to Dream Land. It yields the Leaf ability when inhaled.
Physical Appearance[]
Bulby is a bulb-shaped enemy, similar to a radish, but has two beady eyes and a fuchsia flower growing on the top of its head that set it apart from an ordinary vegetable. It uses its roots as feet.
Games[]
Kirby's Return to Dream Land and Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe[]
Like Clayn, Bulby stays buried in the ground until Kirby comes near, where it pops out of the ground. Unlike Clayn, however, Bulby makes a concentrated effort to attack the hero and his teammates, hopping after them. It also shoots pollen as an attack.
Etymology[]
Bulby's name is derived from the word bulb, referencing its vegetable-like appearance.
Trivia[]
- Bulby bears a resemblance to Leafan, in appearance and attack strategy (shooting leaves at Kirby). Bulby and Leafan also yield the same Copy Ability.
