Wait for him to unleash some small beetles to attack.

Bugzzy Jr. (sometimes called ladybugs,[1] referred to internally as Bug[2]) is an enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby's Adventure. It does not yield a Copy Ability when inhaled, so in most games, it is better utilized as a Star Bullet projectile.

Physical Appearance[]

Bugzzy Jr. is a tiny ladybug-like creature. It has a black body with two white feet, white eyes, and a spotted red shell. The enemy has transparent wings under its shell. Like with Bugzzy, Bugzzy Jr.'s shell is always open, revealing its wings.

Bugzzy Jr.'s alternate palettes in Kirby Super Star Ultra give it a golden or purple shell.

Games[]

Kirby's Adventure and Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land[]

Bugzzy Jr. is a minion of the mid-boss Bugzzy. He produces two of them, one after the other, and sends them out to attack. The pair of enemies quickly flies toward Kirby. If the hero attempts to dodge them, they only loosely follow his movement and continue to fly until they get off-screen. In Extra Mode, Bugzzy Jr. homes in on Kirby.

In Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land, mid-bosses are significantly larger than they are in Kirby's Adventure. As a result, Bugzzy Jr. remains the same size as in the NES game but is now much smaller than his master.

Kirby Super Star and Kirby Super Star Ultra[]

Bugzzy Jrs. are deployed simultaneously by Bugzzy. They slowly fly forward in a zigzag pattern, with each insect moving opposite of the other.

Kirby Mass Attack[]

Bugzzy Jrs. appear exclusively in Stage 3 of the Strato Patrol EOS sub-game. Bugzzy attacks by rapidly producing and firing Bugzzy Jrs. from his face, which then spread out in random directions as the fly toward the bottom of the screen. They can be safely destroyed if the player has a great number of Kirbys and spreads them out to hit every insect.

Kirby Star Allies[]

Bugzzy Jrs. behave like they do in Kirby Super Star. Unlike in the other games, Bugzzy visibly crouches down when releasing them. Bugzzy Jrs. are defeated if they run into a wall. Bugzzy's alternate palette can produce squads of Bugzzy Jrs. when at low health.
