“ | Behold! It's the brutal, brutish Buffahorn! Weak attacks won't stand a chance against this critter's forward tackle. Good thing they have a hard time stopping! If you're careful, you can trick them into running off cliffs. They'll be OK down there. They're real tough.” |
— Gotcha Capsule Description • Kirby and the Forgotten Land |
Buffahorn is a large enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It gives no Copy Ability when Super Inhaled.
Physical Appearance[]
Buffahorn is a buffalo-like creature with reddish-brown fur and large, white horns that point forwards. It has a rather large forehead with white eyes and black pupils. Its eyebrows are constantly furrowed, giving it an angry expression. It has a pink nose and pink, droopy ears as well. Additionally, it has black hooves and a short tail.
Games[]
Kirby and the Forgotten Land[]
Buffahorn attempts to attack the player on sight by charging into them. However, when Buffahorn charges, it cannot turn easily, so the player can avoid its charge attack by sidestepping it. Buffahorn will also run off cliffs while it is charging. If it runs into a wall or another object, Buffahorn will be stunned for a short moment.
In Lab Discovera, when Fecto Forgo absorbs multiple members of the Beast Pack, a Buffahorn is one of the members to get absorbed. One of its horns appears in place of the left ear on Leongar's head.
Etymology[]
"Buffahorn" comes from "buffalo," referencing the animal it resembles; and "horn", referencing its large horns it uses to attack.
