The Buddy Star Blaster, also called the Buddy Shooting Star,[1] is an item in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby Fighters 2.
Games
Kirby Fighters 2
The Buddy Star Blaster only appears in battles with two teams. To use it, any fighter and their Buddy must combine two Buddy Star Blaster pieces, one blue and one red, and hold them together correctly. When this is done, it allows the wielders to go into the foreground and blast stars at enemies. If either fighter lands a hit on one or both opposing team members, a cutscene plays, showing the attacking team blasting a giant laser from the Buddy Star Blaster into their opponent. This laser deals close to 100 damage, incapacitating or greatly damaging foes.

In the Final Chapter of Story Mode: The Destined Rivals, the two halves of the Buddy Star Blaster descend from the sky after Kirby and his buddy defeat the final boss. When assembled, it automatically devastates Waning Crescent Masked Dedede & Waxing Crescent Masked Meta Knight, knocking the Mask of Dark Bonds off of them and launching the rivals into the distance. |

Trivia
- The Buddy Star Blaster greatly resembles the Star Allies Sparkler from Kirby Star Allies.
- Functionally, the Buddy Star Blaster acts similarly to the Power Tablets in Team Kirby Clash, Team Kirby Clash Deluxe and Super Kirby Clash; both require each member of a team to hold the item to initiate a powerful move against foes.
- Shadow Kirby cannot use the Buddy Star Blaster as a team is required to connect the pieces.
