Bomb Blocks appear near identical to Star Blocks, but have a black bomb icon on the side instead of a white star.
Bomb Blocks cannot be inhaled, and must be attacked by other means to be destroyed. Once destroyed, the Bomb Block sets off a chain reaction, destroying any ajacent Explosion Blocks; this destruction of blocks can be helpful or hurtful to the player depending on circumstances. Some Bomb Blocks, instead of destroying blocks, create blocks, which also can be used to either help or hinder the player, most notably by blocking off certain optional paths.
Bomb Blocks can only be destroyed by touching them with the stylus, Copy Abilities, or Dedede and Waddle DooBalls' hammer and beam attacks respectively. In addition to destroying Explosion Blocks, in Paletto Polis, Bomb Blocks can also destroy Explosion Areas.
Bomb Blocks appear on the Green Greens stage. Bomb Blocks can be destroyed by most attacks, and will cause nearby Star Blocks to be destroyed. Unlike in the games, the explosion from the Bomb Blocks is damaging to fighters. Like in Kirby Super Star Ultra, they reappear due to stars falling down to replace them.
