Blopper is a Kirby series enemy that replaces Cappy in the extra mode of the original Kirby's Dream Land. It masquerades as a strawberry topped cupcake at first, but should Kirby attempt to inhale it, its true form will be revealed as a blue blob or bean creature.

Like Cappy, Blopper only appear in the game's first stage; Green Greens.

Behavior

While disguised as a cupcake, Blopper will hop about the stage in a manner similar to Cappy. As it does this it will shoot chunks of frosting into the air that take away two vitality and make it difficult to approach. Long range attacks such as stars or air pellets work best against it.

Once its frosting is removed, is slightly faster than the original Cappy but loses its hard to avoid attacks. Still touching the creature itself will result in two vitality lost.

Stationary Blopper that don't shoot frosting and frostingless Blopper appear as well and are probably the weakest extra mode enemy in that state.
