Barracu is an enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby's Return to Dream Land. It yields no Copy Ability when inhaled.

Physical Appearance

Barracu is a long green fish with wide eyes and large, jagged teeth. Its sides are decorated with darker diamond patterns. The enemy uses its yellow fins to swim.

Games

Kirby's Return to Dream Land

Barracu swims around, usually in a set path. If Kirby or one of his teammates collides with it, the fish will grab him with its jaws and shake him up and down, damaging him over time. The player must shake the Wii Remote rapidly (or mash the +Control Pad) to escape.

Etymology

Barracu's name is derived from "barracuda," the fish upon which the enemy is based.
