— Cast Description • Kirby's Epic Yarn |
Angie is a character in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby's Epic Yarn.
Physical Appearance[]
Angie is a small, round, yellow creature resembling an angel, with white wings and a single strand of yellow hair. She has green beady eyes and a pair of sunshine yellow legs that she uses to carry Kirby back onto the stage.
Games[]
Kirby's Epic Yarn and Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn[]
Angie will save Kirby when he falls off of the screen into a pit or is squished between two objects. However, the player will lose beads, depending on how many they have collected so far and how far they are taken back. When a second player is playing as Prince Fluff, either player can press to have Angie carry them to the location of the other player without losing beads. Her description on the Cast section of Patch Plaza says she loves to explore the world.
Her only storyline appearance in the game is right after Yin-Yarn's defeat, as Kirby (and Prince Fluff) are carried to safe ground.
Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn includes a special feature: By tapping an icon on the Touch Screen, the player can have Angie clear the current stage. Kirby cannot keep any items he acquired. Also in this game, a piece of Furniture earned by keeping a sufficient amount of health points in levels during Devilish Mode is a perch for Angie. Angie can be talked to by coming up to her perch and pressing ; her "voice" is the sound of a crescendo.
Etymology[]
Angie's name is derived from the word "angel," a reference to her angel-like wings and her small strand of hair that vaguely resembles a halo.
Trivia[]
- Angie is never introduced formally as a character in the game outside of Patch Plaza.
- If something happens to both Kirby and Prince Fluff at the same time that requires the help of Angie, two Angies will appear to rescue the two. This is not explained.
