(first 7 theories taken from someone who had/has an oc named Onse Knight, man those theories were awesome that i had to include them sorry-)
Poyo is technically a language. As Kirbies develop further, they start not using the poyo language anymore. They very rarely speak "poyo". (Take Meta Knight for example)
Kirby arrived on Popstar because his HEROIC HEART sensed Popstar and knew that it would need to be protected. Bidda bam boom, crash landing, Dedede abuse, save Dreamland.
Whenever King Dedede's embarrassed or sad, he rethinks life choices while sitting in a corner. I dunno, but I can see Dedede doing that.
Adeleine sometimes calls Dedede "Big Brother" because when Dedede's not a J E R K he's actually a really nice and caring person. He likes to hang out with Ado and do stuff with her.
BandanDee is first in command in the Waddle Army, and Waddle Doo is second.
Meta starts freaking out (and very rarely starts crying but lets not talk about that) whenever his mask breaks or it falls off.
Whenever Kirby turns into Wrestler Kirby, Kirby has a shift in personality that makes him go from nice and caring puffball to narcissistic and arrogant puffball.
Landia wasn't controlled by the Crown... Well, most of the time. He/They were asleep, protecting the Crown from those who wanted to steal it. But then Magolor came and tried to take the Crown for himself. He proved himself strong, but of course, Landia defeated him and Magolor retreated. But at one point during the battle, Landia gave in to the power of the Crown and went super saiyan mode haha- And until Kirby and friends came, Landia would have sudden outbursts of energy and power from the Crown, and was almost getting completely absorbed by it. At last, Kirby and co. came and saved the dragon from its near-insanity. To repay, Landia offered to help defeat the croissant man- Magolor.
Daroach steals stuff cuz he knows that when everything's gone, he won't get to experience it again.
Zan just wants Hyness to know her name. Flam loves Fran in a sisterly way, but she's scared she could melt her. Fran just wishes she wouldn't get injured just by coming close to her siblings. Lighting and fire can melt ice, but then ice would become water, which is a good conductor of lighting, which could then start a fire. Nice chemistry HAL.
Susie just wishes to rebuild the company, while Taranza is on an adventure to find his love, yet still knowing they both killed their close ones.
Magolor and Marx wish to atone for what they did to Kirby by being a good friend to them, though Marx is more on the 'crazy friend' side, while Magolor just goes 'WE SHALL BE BFFS FOREVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER-'
Adeleine, knowing she's the last of her kind, tries to find other humans like her. Ribbon, knowing very well her planet could be corrupted again, still goes on adventures with Adeleine so that she wouldn't really suffer from loneliness much.
Dark Meta Knight is attracted to the evilness of the Jamba Heart shards, thus trying to be on the evil side. But he knows if he does that, Kirby could seal him back into the Mirror, so he tries his best to not be corrupted by the Jamba Heart.
King Dedede is careful of the environment around him because he could be possessed at any given moment. Same with Meta Knight. In Fighters 2, they team up, not only to try and defeat Kirby for once, but to look out for each other so that they wouldn't have to go through all of that depression, possession, the feeling of being a puppet and the feeling of fighting their best friend.
BandanDee fights to prove to himself that he isn't a normal, useless and weak Waddle Dee. He wants proof that the King values him very much, because he never took sympathy seriously, one of the reasons he still fought Kirby in Super Star.
Whenever Gooey fights a real Dark Matter, it taunts him for not being a real Dark Matter. This outrages Gooey but he still retains his playful look, so he just fights, not trying to mind the fact he got discriminated against by his own kind.
Rick, Kine and Coo are always there for each other because they know that when one of them dies, the rest go along with him, so they try their best to protect each other.
The Master Crown was created by Dark Matter and/or 0 and 02. And anyone/thing that was possessed by Dark Matter still have a fragment of their souls left behind in DM. It doesn't affect them in any way, but DM can force that fragment into himself, and now they're technically part of him. Remember 02? He was possessing the Fairy Queen right? I'm not sure if he's related to Dark Matter somehow, but in my headcanon, he actually is and every monster that has an eyeball with a red iris (or whatever ya call it) while being possessed by DM or 0 could have a chance they could be possessed by DM because 0 and 02 are technically also part of DM (or maybe the other way around.) The Fairy Queen, King Dedede, and Magolor are some characters that were possessed by DM (but since Under My Control is before Mags got taken over, then DM is still taking a fragment of his soul and Mags doesn't realize it yet because he thinks that the Master Crown is helping him reach his goal) so they are all singing along with DM until Mags is taken over. But the next few minutes pass and Magolor has been taken over by DM. He realizes what he's done, and tries his best to stop attacking Kirby and co., but he can't stop himself because he's now a puppet for DM to attack Kirby with.
Fransisca and her sisters, and who-knows-who-else went into hiding somewhere in a house on the surface. But then suddenly the robot was programmed to release a nuclear winter to kill off any survivors. So it did, but someone found the programming for it in the code a few days before. Since he was no programmer, he could only tell everyone to evacuate the planet and move somewhere else. But for some reason Fransisca didn't evacuate, for her own reasons. Flamberge and Zan Partizanne, only after on Popstar, did they realize they left Fransisca behind. They demanded to go back, but Adeleine had no more paint to create another bridge to Shiver Star. As Fransisca nearly froze to death in that snowstorm, Hyness, traveling along the fabrics of the galaxy (apparently he liked to travel), heard her screams and saved Fransisca by covering her in a shield of warmth and magic. He then gave her the powers that nearly killed her and stayed with her till she safely evacuated to a secret location on Popstar.
Meanwhile, Zan, believing Fransisca was dead, climbed the tower in her own misery and suicidal thoughts and attempted to end her own life. Sadly and unfortunately, a huge thunderstorm was about to weather, striking what was the tallest first. As she reached the top of the tower (which I believe to be Sky Tower from KRTDL, we'll get into that later), lightning started to strike it. Zan, already at the top, panicked as she saw the lighting coming closer and closer. She tried to climb down, but she realized she blocked off every single entrance and exit to keep herself from regretting her choice. She could only stay at the top of the tower, crying hopelessly as she knew death inched closer. At last, lightning struck, and she screamed in regrets, pain, suffering and hopelessness. As she drew her last breath, Hyness came at the last second and saved her by ceasing the thunderstorm. He granted her the power that brought her to death and quickly went off to save Flamberge.
Lastly, with Flamberge... She was climbing the tower as well, but to stop her sister from committing suicide. But because she was inside, she never saw the storm coming. As she tried to inch higher and higher towards her sister, she tried to pick off the blockages her sister left behind to stop herself from regretting her choice. As she removed another one, lightning struck. Flamberge, not knowing what was happening, fell back and shouted in surprise and pain after seeing the inside of the tower in flames. She tried to run out, but the path forward was still blocked off, now by both flames and stones, and the path leading back was sealed off by a shut door, now also inaccessible by flames burning it. As the flames crawled closer and closer, about to suffocate her, she sobbed and knew this would be the end for her. As the smoke consumed the clean air and entered Flamberge's lungs, she collapsed back in all hopelessness and slowly closed her eyes. But someone made her refuse. Hyness was in the flames, repelling them, and saving Flamberge by teleporting her out of the flames and into Popstar once again, giving her fresh and clean air. He then gave the powers that nearly suffocated her and showed her the rest of her sisters, with all of their new-found powers. Yea I'm gunna end this one on a happy note...
Or maybe, Flamberge nearly burned down into ashes in Planet Hotbeat. There, that's even more simple and makes more sense.
Now time for why I think it was Sky Tower and Shiver Star.
Sky Tower: what other tower is there that reaches the sky other than this? (yeah sry idrk locations in the kirby series much) The Buddy Fighters Tower isn't counted tho, cuz it's not canon. Also, it could be the one Zan's boss desc. describes because it seems to be the only tower in the series that can reach at least the clouds. If this is true... Kirby and friends could have climbed the very tower that nearly killed at least one person-
Shiver Star: look, if fran almost died in a cold place, id suspect it to be a nuclear winter. I'd already be suspecting it to be Shiver Star. And if you're thinking about Robobot, nah, there are no ice levels in Robobot that could look hospitable. The one with ice cream? Where could anyone live there?
Kirby is related to Dark Matter. Or Zero. Maybe even Void's Dark Matter form. So we're saying Void could be related to Kirby right? Zero is a source of Dark Matter. Void has a Dark Matter form. Yet he also has a Kirby-like form. WITH THIS INFO, KIRBY COULD BE RELATED TO ZERO AND/OR DARK MATTER- But there's not enough info and proof. That hurts.
Void is a corrupted Kirby of the Kirby species. It has a Kirby form, but it has multiple attacks from previous bosses. Maybe the magic side of the Ancients stole a random Kirby, and then took multiple blood samples from different bosses. Then they experimented with the blood with both magic and science and injected it into the stolen Kirby. It survived but sadly, it started corrupting. The Ancients left it there in fear of its power, and since it was not helped it quickly became corrupted over the years it was left in that room. Now, the references to the Soul modes of the bosses, like Drawcia and Marx Soul, let's just say that Void Kirby was watching from afar and quickly learnt some of the Soul Boss's attacks.
Hyness was one of the Ancients (rare chance he's the leader of them but we'll see about that.) Yeah the theory regarding Hyness is common but I actually have some proof. "We are the masters of a power driven to the far reaches of the universe, and we have but one desire! Can one such as you possibly fathom how dearly we have clung to this dream across the aeons? How could you! You couldn’t! Never ever ever! We who once faced those who were in such fear of our power that they sealed us away and banished us to the edge of the galaxy! US! As if THAT loveliness wasn’t enough, they tried to erase our very existence from history! RUDE! Only through our magic were we able to overcome their science and achieve great prosperity! We alone were responsible for stopping that repulsive nightmare of a galactic crisis, yet this is how you repay us! This won’t stand! It won’t be forgiven! It won’t be forgotten! Never ever EVER! Those who called us mad, are you listening? You left us at the edge of the galaxy to be forgotten, then went along your merry way, probably living somewhere pretty and peaceful! But know this! Your future is a farce! You have none! We, masters of a matter most dark, vow to be restored, as foretold in the book of legend, which everyone thought was just a fairy tale! It WASN’T! We have already obtained the vessel that contains our Dark Lord, and he will soon awaken and shower us in compassion! Look! The vessel of our Dark Lord is filling up even as we speak! Now the time for his greatness to enter our world has come! Welcome to a new history! A new age! The age of awesome! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DARK LORD! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"
Let's start with the first few sentences.
"We are the masters of a power driven to the far reaches of the universe, and we have but one desire! Can one such as you possibly fathom how dearly we have clung to the dream across the aeon/eons?!"
It is possible that the Ancients have been around for quite some time, and since they were banished to the edge of the universe we never got to see them.
"We who once faced those who were in such fear of our power that they sealed us away and banished us to the edge of the galaxy! US! As if THAT loveliness wasn’t enough, they tried to erase our very existence from history!"
The Heroes of Yore are stated to seal many things away with Heart Spears. Maybe they sealed the majority of Hyness' clan off in a Jamba Heart, and they all morphed into Void Termina as time passed o- wait not possible, why would Hyness worship his own clan? Instead, they could've sealed the majority of the Ancients instead and placed it in an untouchable space-time Dimensional Rift. Dimensional Rifts are hard to enter with normal Abilities.
"Only through our magic were we able to overcome their science and achieve great prosperity! We alone were responsible for stopping that repulsive nightmare of a galactic crisis, yet this is how you repay us!"
So Hyness was on the Magic side of the Ancients. FYI, they're separated into 2 categories; the Magic users and the Science users. The Magic users are rumored to have created ancient artifacts like the Star Rod and the Master Crown. "Nightmare of a galactic crisis". The Star Rod is presumably a creation of the Magic users. Maybe Hyness heard of the story of how Kirby defeated Nightmare, and declared it was his side of the Ancients who defeated him because Kirby used a creation of the Magic side of the Ancients. Or the 'Nightmare' could refer to Galacta Knight. The Ancients (presumably) sealed him away in fear of his power. BUT! Nightmares are usually the warm-up things/fights in the Kirby series (with the exception of Nightmare, the real villain in K:NiDL) ... Maybe there's something more coming?
"Those who called us mad, are you listening? You left us at the edge of the galaxy to be forgotten, then went along your merry way, probably living somewhere pretty and peaceful!"
Again, Heroes of Yore.
"We, masters of a matter most dark, vow to be restored, as foretold in the book of legend, which everyone thought was just a fairy tale! It WASN’T!"
Book of Legend? Hm... I hope future games will elaborate on this... OH DEAR G- WAIT! THIS SAYS MASTERS OF A MATTER MOST DARK COULD THIS MEAN THE ANCIENTS ONCE KNEW AND CONTROLLED DARK MATTER AND/OR ZERO-
Ey yo look at this
The Jambastion Religion was founded by Hyness sometime after his clan was banished and sealed away to the edge of the galaxy by unknown, science-using people who were once their friends. Along with that, all of their existence was erased from history itself. Hyness founded the religion based on his vision, in which a god was speaking to him, inviting him to a new, peaceful land. This happened to match with the legend of Void in a book known as the book of legend, and Hyness thought Void was this very god. Over the years, more and more people began to join the religion.
The religion also seems to have carried over things and traditions from Hyness’s clan, such as possibly their language, their beliefs in the book of legend, their theme of darkness and shadows, and being worshipers and masters of a "matter most dark". The Jambastion Religion is also mostly advanced with weaponry and magic, using those as their main methods of attack, and magic to do other things as well. In Kirby Star Allies, their goal is to revive Void as Void Termina so he can destroy the universe, as Hyness wants to use his power to avenge his clan. The religion had somehow obtained the Jamba Heart, the vessel of Void, however, it was trapped in a seal. Hyness, due to not completely understanding how to break the seal, accidentally shatters the Jamba Heart, sending the shards throughout the galaxy. Thus, members of the religion set out to find the pieces, with their new goal being to collect them all so they can resurrect Void. After Void Termina was defeated and the events of Heroes in Another Dimension, The Three Mage-Sisters and Hyness, if not the entire religion, became allies to Kirby and friends, with their new goal being to simply seek paradise, perhaps the land mentioned in Hyness’s vision.
Unknown, science using people who were once their friends.
Masters of a matter most dark.
I SMELL THE ANCIENTS AND DARK MATTER IN HERE-
Galacta is immortal. One of his names is Temporal Warrior. Temporal is related to the word Time. The Ancients could have been around ever since the dawn of time. Then the Heroes of Yore shortly after. When Morpho Knight's butterfly form floats down to Galacta, the butterfly is said to have 'resonated with the many years spent living' with Galacta. Inputting the theory that Galacta was sealed first, not knowing the fate of the rest of the Heroes long ago, Galacta must've been put through grueling depression, thinking his friends/teammates were dead. And if we think HIAD was the event where Galacta thinks his suffering ends, with Morpho Knight's pause desc. mentioning 'judgement day' and butterflies being associated with death in Japan, when in fact Galacta's power was drained, but not his life, we can already expect some more depression from the angel-winged warrior. Y'all do realize that hurts my soul a lot just by thinking about it-
Jamba Hearts are corrupted Friend Hearts. Why are they hearts in the first place? They were originally Friend Hearts. There was a story just like Star Allies long ago, in the times of the Ancients. But instead of defeating the villain, the hero allied with the villain, and the Friend Hearts corrupted, as it was not supposed to be evil. They all flew out of the first Hero and tried to save themselves from corruption. But sadly, they didn't survive and they all merged into one, crystallized, turned a transparent violet and flew up and hid in an obscured area. It was only centuries later that Hyness would find this vessel and decide it was the best for his Dark Lord.
The Mirror versions of our favorite characters are actually just really negative versions of them. Kirby's always happy cuz he stashes his negative feelings in Shadow Kirby. Meanwhile, Meta Knight still has some negative feelings inside of him because he's independent enough to not depend on a doppelgänger of himself, but he keeps the really negative feelings inside Dark Meta Knight because he thinks and knows he might hurt those around and close to him.
Galacta Knight appears as a Spirit in Smash right? Well, the word Spirit is a synonym to Soul. Meaning, if we put it in terms of grammar, someone must've killed off GK. In Triple Deluxe, DMK's new (and probably non-canon) title is 'the shadow of the greatest warrior'. So, if that happened, and the GK in Robobot was just GK revived by much power (by no one knows who this time), then that could've happened in Smash. DMK killed off GK once again and this time, GK is a Spirit (thank you very much DMK.). Meanwhile, when you put on the DMK skin for MK, it's actually MK switching with DMK, who tried his best to copy MK's moveset. If the opponent uses the GK Spirit, GK vows to take his title back once more and puts his Spirit into the opponent. If the opponent wins, GK feels that his plan is coming together. If the player wins, he scowls upon the person using his spirit and removes at least a small amount of power from the user. Yes I have never played Smash before so this is just dumb-
The wings and horns on Galacta are just accessories, same with Meta's wings. Idk, but I can see them doing that just to look edgier. There was also a hint to this where, when GK is defeated in his first battle, he rises into the sky and starts teleporting everywhere, ending with his wings and mask separating from him.
Lol what if this was true and the tears on DMK's cape were just the result of DMK tryna look edgy XDDDDDDDDDDDD
Then again, it was confirmed by HAL themselves that the scar on DMK's mask was from his first battle with MK LOL XD
Zero and 02 are different beings, if not completely different. In the Celebration Picture "Bad Boss Brothers" we see Zero and 02 in the same photo. Also, 02 has friskin wings and has this halo and tail-thingy, maybe the reason why there's a bandage on his head is cuz that's the place where Dark Matter spawns.
Thought triggering thingy: almost all villains have a dark or otherwise sad backstory. I mean yeah the Mages were almost killed by (most likely) the forces of nature, Taranza lost his love to eternal beauty (and kirby lmao), and Susie lost her dad to a soulless killing machine, so what of Hyness? How did he go crazy? I got a theory for it.
Presuming he was on the Magic side of the Ancients, he was once a good person who (proved by HAL) used to travel the universe. But one day, he did something that was unforgivable, and the rest of his kind banished him to a life of insanity, infecting him with a Jamba Heart. Idk at this point-
Just realized: Hyness's theme is one of the few that don't have the Green Greens leitmotif or the nova explosion leitmotif (Idk the title) but almost all of Void(Termina)'s themes have it. So that would usually mean that Void wasn't originally of the (magic?) side of the Ancients. If that's true, then where did he first come from? He has a beast, winged, Kirby-like and Dark Matter-like form, and the Magic side seemed to be familiar with Dark Matter. And Termina had a replica of the Master Crown as well. Maybe Termina was never related to the Ancients in any way, and when Hyness thought he was the lord the Book of Legend mentioned, he mistook Termina for it. Anyway, back to the forms...
The beast form. Maybe the beast form came from a mutation in Termina's heart, presumably some sort of blood fusion from other bosses before it (Magolor Soul, Galacta Knight, etc). The reason why I think some of them could be Magolor Soul and Galacta Knight? Magolor Soul had the Master Crown, and Termina summoned a replica of it. There are also theories that Magolor Soul was controlled by Termina instead. Galacta Knight will be explained below.
The winged form. Maybe the winged form came from a curse he placed upon himself, like those of Sectonia and such, giving him wings, like Sectonia, though their wings are drastically different... Termina also had feather-like wings, like those of Galacta Knight. Maybe Galacta was either related to Termina or had his blood taken from him and then modified to fit those of Termina.
The Kirby-like form. (commits copy-paste) Void could possibly be a corrupted Kirby of the Kirby species. It has a Kirby form, but it has multiple attacks from previous bosses. Maybe the magic side stole a random Kirby, and then took multiple blood samples from different bosses. Then they experimented with the blood with magic and injected it into the stolen Kirby. It survived but sadly, it started corrupting. The Ancients left it there in fear of its power, and since it was not helped it quickly became corrupted over the years it was left there. Now, the references to the Soul modes of the bosses, like Drawcia Soul and Magolor Soul, let's just say that Void Kirby was watching from afar and quickly learnt some of the Soul Boss's attacks.
The Dark Matter form. Maybe some of the other members of the Magic side that was familiar with Dark Matter got jealous that their contribution was not put in there, so they secretly infected the heart with the Dark Matter and left it there.
Goddang that was long im on 5 percent-
