Yes, and there's a lot of them in the later stages of the game. If you mean scrolling levels, where you have to keep up with the movement of the screen, those happen too.

That's the THING. The whole gimmick of bringing in old characters emphasizes my point from earlier. It's to introduce people who aren't familiar with the franchise, to the other games and important plot points. Sure they got a few things mixed up with the subgames, but it was something they could put out to almost prepare people for the newer games, and make a newer Kirby game for the switch. Think of it as almost experimental, to draw people in before the hard hits actually came so they could adjust for new content.

I honestly think it was a good game, too. While the story may be complex to draw in older fans, you have to remember it's targeted at a newer generation of Kirby fans. If anything, it's a kind of warmup for upcoming games. I had never played a game before Star Allies, and it honed my skills for Forgotten Lands. I'm really thankful for that game. Even for reasons that are more personal to me.
