You can't in the main story mode unless you play as player 2, 3, or 4. In Guest Star, however, you can play as the Dream Friends once you beat one campaign with a normal enemy. And in Ultimate Choice I think you can choose any characters you have unlocked

I haven't played Rhythm Heaven but I've played another rhythm game that bills itself as about the same difficulty so yeah I get that

I think in that case you'd have to determine it yourself

I use basically the same definition and from what I've heard, Tiff doesn't fit it

I think it'd depend on your definition of Mary Sue

Would it be saying she's written as a perfect person with no flaws? Generally bland character? The story revolves around her specifically? I haven't watched the show so I can't answer those but Mary Sue gets thrown around a lot and isn't very consistent

Ok here are some things that might help

Have you done every difficulty in the arena?

have you saved all 300 Waddle Dees?

Have you collected all 300 pieces of Leon's soul?

Have you gotten every figurine?

I'm not sure which of these contribute to a 100% file but if you're missing any you should check that
