Also Marx as a boss in Ultimate-
Yes, I know, and I hate that. Honestly, they botched his look. I’m just tired of Smash Bros. acting like Kirby has only three games. Poor Kirby doesn’t deserve to be stuck in 1996. Poor Kumazaki deserves more rep. Sure, we got a few spirits, two final smashes, Meta Knight’s palettes, and some music, so that’s nice, but most of the stuff is from Dream Land, Adventure, and S U P E R S T A R. All of the stages are based on those three (Great Cave Offensive is the worst stage in Smash Ultimate, fight me), and all of the assist trophies are from those three. The fact that they made Marx a boss, based his model on his sprite (which honestly didn’t work well), and that he’s from freakin’ S U P E R S T A R really shows Sakurai’s classic Kirby bias, even if he states he doesn’t have one. You can clearly see that there was more love and effort put into KSA Marx. He’s wearing proper shoes, his hat looks like it was knitted, the fluffy parts of the hat actually look fluffy, and he doesn’t look dead inside. Ultimate Marx just looks...off. You wanna know what’s even worse?

This hurts me in so many ways. Bandana Waddle Dee is the enhanced form of a regular Waddle Dee spirit. Whoever had this idea, fire them. Ugh, Smash is just getting Kirby all wrong. Don’t think what you’re (not likely, but presumably) thinking, I love Smash and Sakurai, but this is getting really tiresome. Oh well, at least I can always have BWD as my main spirit! Once I...evolve him...that is...
(Also, sorry if I turned this into a “I hate classic Kirby in Smash Bros.” post, but I just had to...)
I bought Superstar on VC and personally enjoyed it when I played it with a friend.
It was great for its time and a definite classic, but you end up expecting more by the end.
I liked that they added Marx as a boss in Ultimate, but it really had nothing to do with Smash Bros, other than the fact that some things from Smash Bros were inherited from Super Star.
The new model for Marx though... they did better in Star Allies.
Simply put, the new model is disgusting.
For me, the best Kirby game of all time?... Probably RTDL or TD. I think I'd like PR, but I haven't got my hands on it yet.
Also, spot on with the “I hate classic Kirby in Smash Bros.” post. They could actually REALLY use a new stage. I get that they like Superstar, it being what is basically Smash Bros. Beta with only Kirby, but it needs some freshness in the series. I still have hope for DLC, even though it's not very likely.
The friendship mechanic makes the game to easy and and the game only has 4 worlds
It's good, but nowhere's near being as great as others.
Actually, it is now with the third update. The game is now longer and DEFINITELY harder, harder than PR and SSU’s true arena even. Say, have you known that yet? ‘Cause it sounds like you didn’t.
A game should be complete when it is released. DLC that adds extra challenge to a game (that is on autopilot for most of the time) that didnt have a good amount of challenge in the base game does not excuse it.
Yes, but even then, the updates have given us content that makes the game feel more complete and better. Honestly, that argument is just being nitpicky, and the others are kind of irrelevant now.
How is it nitpicky to want a game complete at launch?
Mostly because, now in the time being, wishing the game was complete at launch is kind of disregarding the effort the developers gave in this last update. Each mainline Kirby game releases every 2 years, and Star Allies released in 2018, which is two years after Robobot, meaning the game was already complete at launch, albeit very easy. What’s more is that this last update has given everyone just about everything that they wanted. A hard challenge and a longer game. Complaining that it should have been there to begin with “can” be seen as ungrateful, especially after what the updates did and that they were all free, which you somewhat showed as you said “DLC that adds extra challenge to a game (that is on autopilot for most of the time) that didnt have a good amount of challenge in the base game does not excuse it.” It makes you sound like an overly nitpicky person that’s always criticizing the game and disregarding the things that make it good, even though you said it was good yourself. Most people generally dislike people like that, as they can be found annoying, nitpicky, etc., not calling you these or anything. To avoid sounding like this, they usually say they are still content or happy with what they got, which you did not do, thus giving the impression of being nitpicky. Not saying that what you said wasn’t what you meant. Also, posting this stuff on a post where people are heavily disagreeing with Watchmojo makes it seem like you’re agreeing with them, though i’m not sure if you actually are or not.
Anyway, sorry if it sounded like I was calling you nitpicky and annoying, but I think i’m just gonna settle this, as i’m at the final boss of World of Light in Ultimate and I dom’t wanna waste time on this. See ya.
Ok, I can understand that. I'm not going to completely judge a game on what it was before updates, but I still think it is noteworthy.
